The Zortex Desktop App provides users with a native application experience for accessing Zortex on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Features include:
  • Quick-launch from system tray or dock
  • Global keyboard shortcuts
  • Desktop notifications
The desktop app is used for connecting to an Zortex server backend. Users will need access to the Zortex instance URL. It cannot connect directly to a local inference backend.

Installation Options

Self-hosted users: On first launch, users will need to configure the connection to your Zortex instance:
  • Server URL: Your Zortex instance URL (e.g., https://zortex.yourcompany.com)
  • Authentication: Sign in with your configured authentication method
The desktop app will remember the server URL after initial configuration. Users only need to authenticate on subsequent launches if their session expires.
